How do you decide what type of store or web site to build? Well, for one of our clients, the answer was simple. He took the knowledge he gained from many years in the home heating and air condtioning industry and put it to good use by creating 2 very informative web sites. The first one is www.AskBoyd.com  This blog based website contains articles and podcasts that take you "behind the scenes" in the Home Heating and Air Conditioning industry. Some of these articles are going to make you angry as Jay talks candidly about the contractor practices that are all too common in this industry. Practices that are designed to extract a large portion of your hard earned money.
Stories of over charging and how they do it. Obviously not all AC contractors are out there to rip off the consumer but unless you read this information you won't know if you are a victim or not. The articles are well written and an easy read. Opening soon will be the forum where you can ask all the question you want about your own Heating and AC situations. I'm sure it will be popular

Home Air Direct sells all Whirlpool products. From air conditioners to heat pumps. The best part is being able to pick up the phone and call the number to talk directly with someone who can help you pick out the right components. Or, ask for a quote and have a system designed for your needs.
The store starts with a few entry pages with articles on how to save time and money doing the install yourself - or at least a large portion of it This is one of the last industries to offer sales direct to the consumer. The plumbing and electrical industries offer direct purchases for the do - it - yourselfer. Now you can do your own heating and air conditioning systems yourself. Just note that anytime there is refrigerant involved you need a licensed person to hook it up for you but every thing else you should consider doing yourself if you are a handy man or woman. Now days with fuel prices so high and our dollar being stretched so thin, any place you can save money is a good thing.
